Presentation

Since 1929, the two-year preparatory program in Engineering has been offered within the Drawing Institute of the Faculty of Science.
The Faculty of Engineering was established by Rector's Decree of October 16, 1989, implementing the 1986-90 development plan approved by Prime Ministerial Decree of May 12, 1989.
In the 1994-95 academic year, having completed the three-year preparatory program, the Faculty of Engineering reached full capacity, registering its first graduates and completing an educational process that had begun sixty-five years earlier.
The current Department of Engineering was established in 2015 from the merger of the Department of Civil, Computer, Building, Environmental, and Applied Mathematics Engineering with the Department of Electronic, Chemical, and Industrial Engineering.
A decidedly cutting-edge department, whose new facility was inaugurated in 2005 (see. l'ARCA n. 214), ensuring a broad and varied educational offering, extensive research activities, and ongoing relationships with the local community.
The teaching provided is divided into six three-year degree courses (Ingegneria BiomedicaIngegneria Civile, Ingegneria Elettronica e Informatica, Ingegneria GestionaleIngegneria Industriale, Scienze e Tecnologie della Navigazione) and seven master's degree courses (Ingegneria Civile, Ingegneria Elettronica per l'Industria, Engineering in Computer Science - Ingegneria e Scienze Informatiche, Ingegneria Meccanica, Ingegneria Gestionale, Bioingegneria e Scienze e Logistica del Trasporto Marittimo e Aereo).
Scientific research and applied teaching are developed in new, well-equipped laboratories. For a complete overview of research activities, visit the dedicated website pages.
