Pursuant to Article 12 of the Regulations of the Department of Engineering, the Joint Committee is established.
The Joint Committee is composed of student representatives and a representative of the PhD students who are members of the Department Council, and an equal number of faculty members from the Department, elected by the Department Council. This ensures, where possible, the presence of faculty members from all the Department's programs and a faculty member from the PhD program committee.

The Department Joint Committee performs the following tasks:
a) expresses opinions on the activation and cancellation of degree programs;
b) monitors the educational offering and the quality of teaching, as well as the student service activities provided by professors and researchers, and identifies indicators for evaluating their results.
